General Acceptance

By booking a tour with Caribe Adventures, you accept these terms and conditions. We recommend reading them carefully.
These terms may be updated periodically. It is the user’s responsibility to review the most recent version.


Tours for Cruise Ship Passengers

Our tours are specifically designed for cruise ship passengers, guaranteeing a return to the port with sufficient time before your ship’s departure.
However, Caribe Adventures is not responsible for itinerary changes or unexpected delays by the cruise line.


Payments and Confirmation

All reservations require an advance payment (partial or full, depending on the tour) to be confirmed. The reservation confirmation will be sent via email, SMS or WhatsApp.


User Responsibility

It is the user’s responsibility to provide accurate information for the reservation and to be on time at the meeting point.
For their safety, users must follow the instructions of the guides and captains.


Insurance

Caribe Adventures has liability insurance for all its operations. However, participants are recommended to have their own travel insurance.


Age and Health Restrictions

Some tours may have age or health restrictions. Please consult the description of each tour. Inform Caribe Adventures of any relevant medical conditions.
Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.


Terms and Disclaimers

Medical conditions and restrictions

For your safety, we do not recommend participating in our activities if you have any of the following medical conditions:

  • Heart disease or a history of heart attack.
  • Uncontrolled high blood pressure.
  • Chronic respiratory problems (severe asthma, COPD).
  • Recent knee, hip, or back injuries.
  • Epilepsy or neurological disorders that may cause seizures.
  • Advanced or high-risk pregnancy.
  • Physical limitations that prevent walking long distances, climbing stairs, or getting in/out of boats.

The customer is responsible for disclosing any medical conditions at the time of booking.

Archaeological tours (ruins)

Visits to archaeological sites (e.g., Chacchoben, Kohunlich, Dzibanché) involve moderate to intense physical effort, including:

  • Long walks under the hot sun.
  • Stairs and uneven terrain.
  • Exposure to high heat and humidity.

Recommendation: Not advisable for people with mobility issues, elderly adults with physical limitations, or those who cannot tolerate prolonged physical exertion.

Use of life vests

The use of a life vest is mandatory at all times during water activities (boat, catamaran, kayak, snorkeling, etc.).
Life vests are provided by the service providers and comply with Port Authority regulations.
The agency will not allow clients who refuse to wear a life vest to participate.

Swimming in the Bacalar Lagoon

Clients must wear a life vest at all times while swimming or snorkeling in the lagoon.

Entry into the lagoon will only be through areas designated by the guide or captain.

Swimming under the influence of alcohol or drugs is not permitted.

It is recommended to refrain from participating if you have a phobia of water, mobility problems, or conditions that limit flotation.

By booking with Caribe Adventures, you acknowledge that:

  • The final decision to allow or deny participation rests with the guide, captain, or driver, always prioritizing the safety of all clients.
  • You participate at your own risk.
  • The agency is not responsible for incidents arising from undisclosed medical conditions, failure to comply with safety rules, or the participant’s negligence.
